Throughout my life, I have always enjoyed writing letters to people around the world and asking them to write back about their memories and experiences. I have created this website as a way to share my collection with educators as a digital resource. Learn about historical events from those that were actually there through their handwritten letters.
"Salute to Veterans" Christmas Card Drive
Participate in my fifth annual "Salute to Veterans" Christmas card drive
Each year, from Veteran's Day until Christmas Eve, I host my annual "Salute to Veterans" Christmas card drive, to benefit our local VA Home.
All of the cards collected are sorted into bundles and tied with a beautiful ribbon. On Christmas Day, we drive to Kinston, NC and hand-deliver the cards to our amazing Veterans. It's honoring our Veterans and preserving history.

Military Missions in Action
Military Missions in Action is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting Veterans with disabilities, homeless Veterans and members of the Armed Forces, and their families. Their "Fill the Footlocker" program provides support to active-duty service members in combat zones around the world. Since 2021, I have contributed 3,000 letters to be included in their care packages.
